Naomi launched The Seaweed Food Co. in 2020. Carefully selecting and hand picking seaweeds from the beaches of Guernsey we make a variety of delicious food seasonings. The temperatures and clean water around the island provide a perfect environment for seaweed and the beautiful scenery makes our job of hand collecting seaweed one of the best! These 'sea vegetables' are full of vitamins, minerals and trace elements (it's good for you!) and gives a special umami taste to your food. What more could you ask for?
We've sold over 10,000 tins since our launch, many of these are to repeat customers who enjoy the benefits of seaweed both for health and for taste, buying for themselves and to gift to others.

We are excited to announce that our book 'Vraic - A Guide to Guernsey Seaweed' is now available for purchase.
Over 100 pages, 'Vraic' covers the history of seaweed use in Guernsey, different types of seaweeds and how they can be used. The story of Guernsey Seaweed Limited and The Seaweed Food Co, recipes, what the future of seaweed looks like and lots of photographs.

BBC Good Food show
We had a fabulous time at The BBC Good Food Show. Our first off-island event with thousands of people visiting our stall. We spoke to a lot of people about seaweed (and Guernsey) which was very exciting.

Three of our products have won a 1-star at the Great Taste Awards!
Over 14,000 products from 110 countries were blind tasted by a panel of 500 judges - just over 4,000 won a 1-star award....'food and drink that delivers fantastic flavour', so we are thrilled that three of our seaweed seasonings make up that number.
Great Taste is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world’s largest, longest standing and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.
